About

Born Braveman Chizvino on 22 December 1988 in Bikita, Masvingo Province, Baba Harare is one of Zimbabwe's most accomplished contemporary musicians — renowned for blending traditional jiti with Afro-fusion and modern Zimbabwean sounds.
His musical journey began with the guitar as a child. Before becoming a household name, he sharpened his craft with local bands before joining Jah Prayzah's Third Generation Band as lead guitarist and backing vocalist — years that introduced him to audiences across Zimbabwe and beyond.
In 2017, Baba Harare embarked on his solo career and formed The City Vibration Band, launching his debut album Chikwama Changu. What followed is a catalogue of hits and one of the country's most beloved live acts — rooted in Zimbabwean identity and reaching out to the wider African sound.
